Where's Lou?
It hides in thin air. A virus that does not appear but floats until it strikes. If only we could see it. We may not be stuck in isolation. No tests needed, just stay away from that cloud and wash it off of yourself. The full force is yet to be understood. For now we are in our own spaces, far apart but in some ways closer. Lou is no different, although he is a clown and can still work if he wants. He also can’t really catch the virus (even sex is safe in a cartoon). But the distance even affects him. So much of what happens in this series is what happens in the places where Lou might be if the virus had stuck with animals. The material which comes out is from being out.
What if this never happened? What would Lou have been doing? Well, for a few moments in search of Lou we take a look at what might have been. I can’t look at these frames without longing.
There has been great loss of endeavor and mingling during this pandemic, but much worse is the loss of life. The last frame pays tribute to what we have all lost, with a horizon of hope. Stay Healthy!
