What happened to that house? Over the past few years I have repeated that thought as neighborhood homes are leveled to make way for new ones. It seems like an abrupt change and that it is happening faster than it did in the past. The new homes are bold and seem to lack character, although some can be quite stunning.
It is not just the replacing of homes that is happening faster. We live in a time when the virtual world makes change seem as essential as water. Those of us who have lived outside the cyber world for much of our lives have a different view of changes brought on by technology. But there is nothing like a big change in the neighborhood to shake things up. When an older home goes down and a new computer designed box goes up, it seems like I can feel the change in my bones. This week Lou is feenin' it too in: "Infill".
